Brian Hilton Motor Group welcomes TRD to its line-up... Introducing TRD Aurion
As you may or may not be aware Toyota have recently released some new additions into their vehicle line-up. These vehicles, coming under the TRD – Toyota Racing Development, banner are the first mass-produced vehicles in the world to be fitted supercharged engines. TRD is the long established umbrella for Toyota racing activities and as part of their new ten year plan they have begun incorporating their knowledge of F1 with traditional road cars.
The result… a 241kW TRD Aurion! Adopting a premium sporty design, Toyota Australia are offering a complete package with the TRD Aurion that will align with a sophisticated market rather than outright brute performance. The challenge was to balance technology, styling and features at a realistic cost.
F1-linked aspects of the TRD Aurion include the integration of the exhaust, the twin rear wings for improved airflow, front lip spoiler, greater airflow through the radiator and aero panels under the car for better downforce and road-holding. Fitted with Eaton’s new twin-vortices series (TVS) supercharger, it delivers more power, less noise and substantially lower inlet temperatures on the engine. The TRD Aurion’s new 3.5-litre dual VVT-i Quad Cam V6 engine is matched to an intelligent six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift. It will sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 6.1seconds and is speed-limited to a maximum of 250km/h. Not to mention that all this power can be achieved only using 10.9litres*/100km.
Toyota Australia also adopted a TRD-specific brake system for increased performance, better feel and a higher degree of modulation. The brake system includes new disc rotors front and rear, new aluminium callipers front and rear and performance friction material. The TRD Aurion also includes a specifically designed sports muffler with a 15 per cent reduction in back pressure compared with OE Aurion muffler. The muffler has been tuned for a sporty note while maintaining acceptable drive-by noise levels.
TRD Aurion is offered in two grades: 3500S – for sport and 3500SL – for sports luxury. Both are fitted with the 241kW supercharged engine, sports suspension, performance brakes, 19 inch alloy wheels, TRD front and rear bumpers, side skirt and rear spoilers, sports seats, power driver’s seat, alloy pedals, TRD scuff plates and leather-wrapped steering wheel just to name a few features. The 3500S model has an ‘extrovert sporty’ theme with a racy flavour, while the 3500SL has a ‘prestigious sporty’ theme with an avant-garde flavour. Both models have sports seats, specially coloured door trim and a special TRD steering wheel. Plus every TRD Aurion is fitted an individually numbered TRD plaque on the centre console with its identification number engraved.
The new Toyota Advantage Service plan is also available on the TRD Aurion models. Covering the first four standard scheduled services within the first three years or 60,000 kilometres of driving, whichever occurs first, for just $120 each.
TRD models are for people who appreciate fine performance and nuance. They make a statement
without being overt and they deliver owner and driver satisfaction without stress. So, if you would like your new
car to make a statement, contact your sales representative on 4328 2888 for Gosford or 4353 1122 for Wyong,
alternatively just drop into either site today for your test drive.
*Fuel consumption will vary depending on driving conditions/style, vehicle conditions and options/accessories fitted.

Introducing the ALL NEW 201kW Rav4 V6
Toyota’s new Rav4 V6 combines a modern, rugged appearance with smooth aerodynamics. Rav4’s exterior was designed to combine powerful styling with a premium feel, while the interior was designed for a balance of sportiness and spaciousness within the vehicle’s overall dimensions.
With the introduction of the V6 line-up, Rav4 now has nine different models to its name. The list of standard features for all three (CV6, SX6 and ZR6) of the V6 models is endless with many new improvements implanted along the way.
The new Rav4 is powered by a 3.5litre all-alloy quad-cam engine with dual variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i), which is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine offered by Toyota in Australia. The new engine effectively combines impressive performance with fuel efficiency. The advanced 3.5litre V6 engine delivers 201kW of power at 6200rpm and 33Nm of torque at 4700rpm which equates to 74kW more power than the 2.4litre four cylinder version with a fuel economy of 10.5litres/100km.
The new Rav4 also has a comprehensive package of active safety features, including the Vehicle Control Management System (VCMS) as standard equipment on all grades. Rav4 V6’s driving aid package includes control of steering and the all-wheel-drive system as well as Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC) and the ABS anti-skid braking system.
VCMS is part of Toyota’s Driver Assist Technology (DAT) package. It uses high-speed Control Area Network (CAN) computer technology to seamlessly combine previously separate technologies, provide the best possible traction in any situation and increase active safety. The key technologies it combines are Active AWD, Electric Power-assisted Steering (EPS) and ABS, including Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).
But its not all about the fancy acronyms… The Rav4 V6 all have a list of new standard internal features as long as your arm! Some of them include rear heater ducts under the front seats, dual headlamps with projector-type low beam, LED-type tail lamps, tilt and telescopic steering coloumn adjustment, cruise control and six speaker MP-3 compatible audio. With satellite navigation an optional extra on all models.
But with all these extra features Toyota have still managed to maximise passenger and cargo space. The total cargo space is equivalent to 540 litres or 991mm height, 942mm in length and 1335mm in width. Utility of luggage space also includes a 90litre under-floor storage box which is under the bi-fold rear deck board. Not to mention that the rear seat also has one-touch remote release for super tilt down, allowing the seat to be folded flat to the height of the deck. This helps create a large flat deck to carry extra cargo.
Not to mention there is a HUGE list of external accessories available to upgrade and personalise your very own Rav4 V6. These items include the deluxe alloy nudge bar, side steps, front mud guards, bonnet protector and headlamp covers! And with the new engine the Rav4 V6 can tow an heavier load and the towbar capacity has been upgraded accordingly with the towing capacity for the new Rav4 V6 has also been increased by 400kg to 1900kg compared with Rav4 four cylinder models.
And all of this with a starting price tag of less than $40,000… Its easy to see why Rav4 heads the national Compact SUV segment.
To find out more or book a Test Drive please contact a member of a sales team at either our North Gosford or Wyong Showrooms.

Evolution of the Species… All new Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series
The original LandCruiser design concept was developed in 1950 from a military style vehicle and was to be called the
‘Toyota Jeep’. Now as we release this edition of our newsletter 50 years later, Toyota is preparing for one of their
most anticipated releases of 2007 – 200 Series LandCruiser. The new ‘King Off the Road’ features technology that will
amaze and astound fanatics and critics alike!
Unveiled at the International Motor Show last month, the 200 Series LandCruiser has been redesigned to include more
powerful petrol and diesel V8 engines. It has also been given larger dimensions with 60mm more in length, 30mm in
width and a 15mm higher roofline. With these styling changes the LandCruiser has an even more powerful on- and
off-road presence than ever before.
The platform for the LandCruiser has been completely redesigned and retains a full-frame structure which has been
strengthened to increase safety, reduce noise and vibration while enhancing interior comfort. The Evolution of the
Species features some world firsts in a mass production 4WD including the new CRAWL technology as well as Multi
Terrain ABS to name a few.
The ‘crawl control’ system is featured in petrol models and is for driving on surfaces such as rocks, sand or steep
hills. Toyota’s CRAWL automatically controls the engine and brakes to maintain very low speeds with minimal spinning
or locking of the wheels. This system also allows for delicate speed adjustments between approximately 1km/h and 5km/h
where the three speed settings can be selected by the simple turn of a dial, which allows the driver to have a greater
focus on steering. This system is also effective in helping to extract the vehicle if it becomes stuck.
Another engineering breakthrough that is being used on the LandCruiser is the KDSS or Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System.
This hydraulic system controls the front and rear stabiliser bars to provide excellent on-road stability. It also provides
outstanding off-road performance through larger suspension stroke achieved by effectively disabling the stabiliser bars.
The LandCruiser has had many other new features installed with the introduction of the 200 series. Safety advances for
these models include a stronger body structure, vehicle stability control, reversing camera (available on Sahara only)
and upto 10 airbags including side-curtain and knee airbags.
The many features are not just limited to the improved cabin space or the safety conscious. Standard extras available on all
three models include smart start and entry, glass antenna, dual front climate air conditioning with rear cooler and 6 CD changer
with 6 speakers and Bluetooth capabilities.
To the view the all new ‘King Off the Road’ please give our new car team at North Gosford or Wyong a call today!

New Generation Kluger… IS HERE!!!
Next Generation Kluger is not just an evolution, it is a REVOLUTION! It offers everything the first Kluger wasn’t able to and simply crawls over the competition and leaves it in its wake! Next Generation Kluger is available in both 4x4 and 4x2 and will play a dominant role in the SUV market well into the future. This generation of Kluger is noticeably quieter, smarter and more spacious just to name a few features.
The exterior of the Next Generation Kluger has clean, crisp lines a wide stance and muscular contours.
Basically this all means it is bigger, 95mm longer, 85mm wider and the wheelbase has increased by 75mm.
While these dimensions may not sound that much, when you see the new Kluger you will definitely be able
to tell the difference!
Because of its longer wheelbase the Kluger has a larger footprint than previous models, with larger wheels
and tyres for greater stability and sure-footed handling. The suspension was significantly revised to improve
ride handling on both bitumen and dirt roads which means the increased ground clearance makes it an even more
capable off-roader than the previous generation. Not to mention that Toyota engineers have also made the new
Kluger even quieter with less noise vibration from the road and from under the bonnet.
The Kluger will be driven by a 3.5litre dual VVT-i V6 engine with an electronically controlled five-speed
intelligent automatic transmission with sequential shift. The new engine is more fuel efficient than its
predecessor and uses at least 10% less than its competitors. The new engine helps deliver the 200kW of power
which makes the Next Generation of Kluger the most powerful non-turbo engine in its class.
And on the inside… well, interior designers set to work to utilise the extra space available to them due to the
larger dimensions. The Next Generation Kluger is more comfortable and intelligently designed to be practical,
flexible and versatile. Available in either five (5) or seven (7) seaters with the 2-3-2 configuration, the
dimensions have been used to deliver an open and airy interior with more space for both passengers and luggage
storage. Both the second and third rows of seats can be folded forward flat to provide extra cargo space.
Available luxury features on the Next Generation Kluger include front and rear climate-controlled air conditioning,
leather seats, Smart Entry and Smart Start Systems, fog lamps, CD stacker and for telephone connection – a Bluetooth
compatible sound system. Another notable feature in the interior is the steering coloumn now offering both tilt and
telescopic functions to help provide the most comfortable driving position possible.
Standard safety features have also been greatly improved on the Kluger with things like vehicle stability control with
electric power steering, traction control, anti-skid braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist
available on all models in the range. All Klugers will also be fitted with Hill-start Assist Control, which prevents
rolling downhill when starting off, particularly on low traction surfaces. Safety features for this standout vehicle
also include class-leading seven airbags – dual front, front side and full-length curtain plus a drivers knee airbag,
as well as a reverse camera which does not require a satellite navigation system to operate!

All New Hot Corolla
The “Era of the Family Car” started in 1966 and it was in November of that year that the first Corolla rolled
onto the market to much fanfare. In the 40 years since, the Corolla has continued to evolve thanks to a
philosophy of “always staying ahead of the times.” Today, with total sales above 30 million vehicles and
sales over 140 countries and regions, the Toyota Corolla has earned its title as the “Global Standard
Vehicle for the 21st Century.”
The name Corolla means “crown of flowers” and with its success over the last 40 years it is easy to see why
Toyota has maintained this ‘flower’. On display for the first time in Australia at the Melbourne International
Motor Show, the 2007 Toyota Corolla is one of the many models to receive major changes in the Toyota line-up.
The tenth-generation of the world's best-selling nameplate coincides with the 40th anniversary of Corolla in
Australia and the 50th anniversary of Toyota's involvement in Motorsport.
Toyota have made some major changes to the Corolla including many new high-tech features. These include
Smart Entry and Push Button Start (available on some grades), putting an end to key scratches on doors
and rummaging in handbags in the dark. This innovation has been around for some time featuring in the
likes of the Prius and even the new Aurion however it brings a new level of sophistication to not only
the Corolla, but also the Small Car Category.
Designed to appeal to a broader market, the new Corolla is for customers seeking a classic sedan with
dynamic styling and driving performance while the hatch is for the image-conscious younger purchaser.
Both models have been designed to offer a superior combination of comfort, space and innovation with
extra cabin and storage space a premium in this small car.
Both the hatch and the sedan share the same drive-train, powered by an impressive 1.8-litre dual VVT-i
engine that can adjust both the intake and outtake exhaust valves to deliver maximum performance with
impressive economy and low emissions – the perfect combination in today’s environment. With the choice
of transmissions, including a new 6-speed manual gearbox, there is improved stability, responsive
handling and precise steering control which means Corolla is equally at home around the city streets
or one the open road and an absolute pleasure to drive.
The new sedan and hatch also share high levels of passive and active safety enhancements driven
by Toyota's Global Outstanding Assessment (GOA) program. This aims to not only meet, but exceed
all current and foreseeable world safety standards. Both models are available with upto 7 airbags,
including a knee airbag which is a first for this category. Other safety features include whiplash
injury lessening seats and headrests which helps reduce the risk of whiplash related injuries for
front occupants plus active braking with intelligence (AB-i) incorporating ABS, EBD & BA which
helps maintain steering control in emergency braking.

The New Aussie V6… TOYOTA AURION
It all started with the vision to build a big, bold and tough Aussie six. Big Aussie sixes have all been going the same way… until now. Toyota Aurion is different! It’s a V6 inspired, not by touring cars, but by Formula One, so it breathes fresh air into the V6 market. Aurion V6 promises to be a true home grown success story having been designed and engineered for Australia’s unique conditions.
The new V6 engine delivers significantly improved power and torque compared with the previous design. The end result is an engine capable of delivering an “exhilarating sensation of acceleration”.
Aurion V6 is the first conventional car in Australia to achieve the elusive “double” of at least 200kW in power and better than 10 litres/100km fuel economy.
The efficient packaging ensures useable interior space is maximised while exterior dimensions are minimised. And while the overall impression of the Aurion is very European, it still retains key Toyota DNA.
The all new Aurion was launched at the beginning of November and is now waiting for you to test drive.
A full range of the Aurion line-up can be viewed seven days a week at both of showrooms,
we look forward to seeing you in the near future!!
