The History of Brian Hilton Toyota

Four Decades and Still Evolving

For more than forty years Brian Hilton has been serving new and used cars to the Central Coast’s residents, and today employs 130 staff across both dealerships.

The Big Local began trading in December 1967 selling used cars from a site at North Gosford. In 1968 the company was appointed as Renault and Peugeot Dealer for the Central Coast and after a short time the company became one of the leading Peugeot dealers in NSW. This brought the company to the notice of Toyota.

 

Brian Hilton Proudly Accepts Toyota Franchise

In December 1972 the company was granted the Central Coast Toyota franchise. A new dealership was built at 470 Pacific Highway and Brian Hilton Toyota became a landmark to locals as a leading Central Coast Dealer. As the market share for Toyota continued to grow on the Central Coast, Brian Hilton Toyota expanded its operations to keep pace.

In 1977 a dealership was opened in Wyong. The following year saw continued enormous growth and in 1986 the business moved from 470 Pacific Highway to the current site.

 

A Leading Kia Dealer

Kia was introduced to the dealership in 2002, and now boasts a 5 year unlimited km warranty across the whole range. Unquestionable value for money and continued sales growth for Kia has seen Brian Hilton Motor Group become the Central Coast’s leading Kia dealer.

In July 2009, construction began on a brand new Kia showroom to be located adjacent to the main dealership showroom. Built with the latest construction technology, the new Kia showroom will also feature a car wash facility. The showroom will be open for business in early 2010.

Alfa Returns to the Fold

Having originally being appointed as an Alfa Romeo dealer in the 1970's and successfully holding that franchise for the next 20 years, in 2009 Brian Hilton Motor Group were given another opportunity to take on the prestige Italian brand.

"In my time as a Dealer, my family and I grew to love the marquee for its passion and driving excitement" says Brian Hilton.

Despite the ever-changing fortunes of the motor industry, over the past ten years Brian Hilton Toyota has remained a major force in the local car industry and the desire to achieve excellence in motor retailing and after sales service continues today.
